‘Both Matters’ is the first cooperation project between StudioKnob (Yotam Shifroni and Adi Azar) and Nagarya (Amir Rave) designed specifically for the Fresh Paint Exhibition 2017. The collection includes six furniture items that present a precise meeting point between hand-made crafts, digitally-made crafts and old and new raw materials.
An eclectic composition between an old window, an abandoned drawer and a broken wooden leg. The items gain a new look due to their joining together through the use of colorful layers of acrylic glass which is lit with LED lighting. The mirror that is cut diagonally and located at the upper part of the composition communicates with the geometrical shapes made of acrylic glass at the front of the drawer. Both the mirror and the glass symbolize the present and emphasize the marks of time that are embedded in the past.
