Knock Knock Table

A table made from the material joining of an antique wooden door and an acrylic glass surface upon which is an engraved image created using laser etching. The image serves to reverberate the nails embedded in the material. The meeting between the pureness, clearness and wateriness of the glass and the bulkiness of the wood that carries with it emotional baggage from the past, creates a surprising and new occurrence which embeds within it a type of hope for life in a world of contrasts.
