Kaa floor lamp

The “Kaa” Floor Lamp exemplifies the fusion of craftsmanship and contemporary design. It spirals and balances as it ascends a golden rod – an enchanting sight reminiscent of a serpent, refined and mesmerizing, like a stone polished by the passage of time.

The “Kaa” floor lamp, our illuminated rope snake, has evolved through extensive experimentation, the refinement of our studio’s craft, and fruitful collaboration with remarkable local artisans. It has become one of our favorites. The light source is a high-quality LED strip, manually threaded into a braided nylon rope. You can hold it, touch it, stretch it, coil it, or even tie it. But gently – after all, it’s still a snake.

The stable base, from which the rope climbs the bent brass rod, draws inspiration from modernist forms – the geometric lines of Bauhaus and the raw, honest expression of Brutalism, evident in their awe-inspiring architectural use of exposed concrete. These two styles have deeply rooted themselves in the material tradition of Israel’s young urban jungle.

The lighting fixture is rich in unique and meticulously designed details: an impression in the concrete casting conceals a sensor used for switching the light on and off, as well as dimming it. A leather handle is installed on the front, making it easier to move the heavy fixture when needed. At its, an elegant plate isolates the electrical components, allowing only a vintage braided cable to connect the power outlet, completing a product that embodies contemporary design, from head to tail.
