Two draws floating within a constructive space built from acrylic glass surfaces which offer a playful interaction between the revealed and the hidden. The screws and tracks that are traditionally hidden from the viewer in order to create a clean design piece, are exposed here to the aesthetic eye and are transparent for those seeking to explore the manufacturing technique. Revealed scratches created over time which often symbolize the end of the life of a piece of furniture were deliberately created in the piece using digital illustration that was copied by laser cutting onto the lower part of the face of the glass, as an integral and aesthetic part of the furniture, in order to extend its life, and to allow for (real) scratches to form in the future.
Collaboration with Amir Raveh.
